Club Hub Awards 2023

Written by Frankie O'Brien

It’s been a few years since we entered for an award so we were very happy to be named as one of the finalists in Supplier of the Year category at the Club Hub Awards 2023.

The Club Hub Awards are the only national awards for activity providers with entry by application form only, no voting. The awards are independently judged by a panel of expert judges, who shortlisted the finalists and will select the winners for each of the individual award categories. The judges select winners based on their commitment to excellence, innovation and growth of their business, demonstrated through their business performance, achievements, brand values and passion for what they do.

We were also very pleased to see that several of our clients were shortlisted as finalists too: Fun Fest (finalists in 3 categories), Kidslingo (also finalists in 3 categories), Pop Up Play Village and Active Totz (part of Active Sports Group).

Award winners will be announced at a full day event of guest speakers, workshops and networking in May. Best of luck to all of our fellow finalists.

E-learning awards
2016

Written by Rob Lenihan

The 2016 e-learning awards are always a fantastic way to celebrate great ideas and innovations in e-learning. This year we were pleased to be invited along by e-Learning for Healthcare (e-LfH) as their creative partner on the re-launch of their e-learning hub.

The hub has been providing thousands of users specialist health e-learning across the NHS, delivering over 30 e-learning programmes since 2003.

e-LfH in partnership with Health Education England asked iflourish to help re-design the hub for a more contemporary learning experience. A huge undertaking that required not only visual design and re-branding but also responding to the vast amount of feedback provided directly from users.

The newly designed hub went live in 2016 and has received critical acclaim for improved user experience.

Double award winners

Written by Rob Lenihan

We had two great evenings recently with colleagues from FFT Education at the ceremonies for the E-learning Awards 2014 and Fresh Awards 2014. Naturally we were delighted to receive awards on both nights for:

  • Excellence in the production of learning content (Third sector) at the E-learning Awards
  • Training & Educational at the Fresh Awards Digital

Both awards were for our school governor e-learning project with FFT. You can read more about that on our site here. We were particularly pleased with the E-learning Award because the judging process is rigorous, including a presentation to the judging panel of industry experts, and they are respected throughout the e-learning industry. With over 250 entries from 18 countries, we knew the competition would be tough, but we were also confident that the feedback from learners was overwhelmingly positive with 99% approval ratings and comments like these:

  • “Being a statistics phobe I found the e-learning tool very accessible and easy to navigate around. It helped me tremendously to get to grips with what others see as simple data.” Sarah-Jane Hair, Governor, Frodsham Manor House Primary School (Cheshire West and Chester)
  • “I have done quite a lot of online training and this e-learning tool is one of the most user-friendly systems I have encountered.” Andrew Wallace, Vice Chair and Training and Liaison Governor, Eastbrook Comprehensive School (Barking and Dagenham)
  • “I found it very easy to understand, great fun and what’s more it helps loads when it comes to understanding the headteacher’s reports.” Paul Holland, Governor, Ashfield Comprehensive School (Nottinghamshire)
